Description:
The Fertility Test for Women is for you if you want to boost your chances of having a baby. This test analyzes crucial hormones like estradiol, progesterone, total testosterone, thyroid function, and cortisol, along with Vitamin D and basic CBC and CMP. Gain valuable insights into your reproductive health, energy levels, metabolism, and overall well-being. With these comprehensive insights, you can maximize your chances of conception by having a complete view of your health so you can take control and stay on top. This test uses equilibrium dialysis methodology.
The Testosterone test in this panel will provide levels of Total Testosterone results ranging from 0 to 9,999. However, any value greater than 9,999 will be displayed as ">10,000" (over 10,000) instead of a specific number.
Includes:
Complete Blood Count / CBC (includes Differential and Platelets): WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW, Platelet Count, MPV and Differential (Absolute and Percent - Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Monocytes, Eosinophils, and Basophils) Comprehensive Metabolic Profile ( includes eGFR ): Albumin, Albumin/Globulin Ratio (calculated), Alkaline Phosphatase, ALT, AST, BUN/Creatinine Ratio (calculated), Calcium, Carbon Dioxide, Chloride, Creatinine with GFR Estimated, Globulin (calculated), Glucose, Potassium, Sodium, Total Bilirubin, Total Protein, Urea Nitrogen Thyroid Profile w/TSH: T3 Uptake; T4 (Thyroxine), Total; Free T4 Index (T7); Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Lipid Panel: Cholesterol, total; high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol; low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (calculated); triglycerides; Non-HDL Cholesterol (calculated). Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy LC/MS/MS Vitamin B12 and Folates (vitamin B9) Zinc Iron, serum Ferritin, serum Follicle-stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing Hormone (LH) Testosterone, Free and Total, LC/MS/MS Progesterone, serum Prolactin, serum Estradiol, Ultrasensitive, LC/MS/MS Sex Hormone binding Globulin, (SHBG)
Patient Instructions:
You should fast for 12-14 hours before collection of the specimen. Fasting is defined as no consumption of food or beverage other than water for at least 12-14 hours before testing. Specimens should be collected in the morning since iron values decrease by 30% during the course of the day and there can be significant interference from lipemia. Some tests in this panel may exhibit interference when sample is collected from a person who is consuming a supplement with a high dose of biotin (also termed as vitamin B7 or B8, vitamin H or coenzyme R). In patients receiving therapy with high biotin doses (ie, > 5 mg/day), no sample should be taken until at least eight hours after the last biotin administration. If using a testosterone cream please be sure you have not rubbed any into the antecubital area of your arm for the last 24 hours as it can give elevated results. Patient should be cautioned to stop biotin consumption at least 72 hours prior to the collection of a sample.
Estimated turnaround for results is 10 business days. If confirmation testing is required, the estimated time may be extended.

Description:
Determine the presence of hCG in patients with gestational trophoblastic disease; evaluate and monitor male patients with testicular tumors; follow up molar pregnancy. The quantitative hCG assay should be used for nonroutine detection of hCG (eg, ectopic pregnancy, threatened abortions, miscarriages, or very early pregnancy). hCG may reach detectable limits within 7-10 days of conception. hCG is produced by the placenta and reaches a peak between the 7th and 10th week of gestation.
hCG is a glycoprotein hormone produced by the syncytiotrophoblast of the placenta and secreted during normal pregnancy and with pathologic conditions such as hydatidiform mole, choriocarcinoma and testicular neoplasm.
A significant deviation from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.

Description:
FSH/LH testing is used in the workup of infertility (for both men and women). Used also to investigate low sperm count, menstrual irregularities, pitutary disorders, diseases involving the testes or ovaries. May be used to determine the cause of early or delayed puberty. FSH and LH are secreted by the anterior pituitary in response to gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GNRH) secreted by the hypothalamus. In both males and females, FSH and LH secretion is regulated by a balance of positive and negative feedback mechanisms involving the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, the reproductive organs, and the pituitary and sex steroid hormones. FSH and LH play a critical role in maintaining the normal function of the male and female reproductive systems. Abnormal FSH levels with corresponding increased or decreased levels of LH, estrogens, progesterone, and testosterone are associated with a number of pathological conditions. Increased FSH levels are associated with menopause and primary ovarian hypofunction in females and primary hypogonadism in males. Decreased levels of FSH are associated with primary ovarian hyper-function in females and primary hypergonadism in males. Normal or decreased levels of FSH are associated with polycystic ovary disease in females. In males, LH is also called interstitial cell-stimulating hormone (ICSH). Abnormal LH levels with corresponding increased or decreased levels of FSH, estrogens, progesterone, and testosterone are associated with a number of pathological conditions. Increased LH levels are associated with menopause, primary ovarian hypofunction, and polycystic ovary disease in females and primary hypo-gonadism in males. Decreased LH levels are associated with primary ovarian hyperfunction in females and primary hyper-gonadism in males.
A significant deviation from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.
